THE SNOWWY WAY
Community rules.
Snowwy connects neighbours for small residential snow-shoveling jobs. These community rules describe how this installation is intended to work.
Who can join
Customers and guardians must be adults aged 18 or over. Provider participation starts at 11. For ages 11–13, a verified parent or authorized guardian creates and manages the profile and handles all platform interactions; there is no child login. Their jobs are limited to small, ground-level residential walkways in daylight, with the guardian present outdoors throughout. Ages 14–17 can create their own account with a separate verified guardian who approves participation. The operator reviews customer and provider accounts before jobs or quotes can be submitted. These are platform participation rules, not a determination of legal work eligibility.
Agree before you start
Customers should accurately describe the job, snow depth, surfaces, access, and hazards. Providers should only quote on work within their ability. An accepted quote records the scope, price, day, and time window. Discuss changes before doing additional work.
Keep work appropriate
Only hand-shoveled, ground-level residential work is supported. No roof clearing, ladders, road work, powered equipment, hazardous ice removal, or requests to enter a home. Use daylight hours and stop when weather, exertion, traffic, or other conditions make work unsuitable.
Completion and payment
The provider marks work finished and the customer confirms completion. Customers pay directly by the agreed cash or e-transfer method. The portal records the customer’s payment report and the provider’s receipt confirmation. Snowwy does not process card payments, provide escrow, hold funds, or guarantee payment.
Cancellations and problems
Either booked participant can cancel before work starts. Once work begins, use the conversation and report workflow to resolve problems with the administrator. There is no automatic cancellation fee. Administrators can resolve disputed jobs as completed or cancelled; payment disagreements require direct resolution between the parties.
Reviews and conduct
Be honest and respectful. Do not publish addresses, contact details, threats, discriminatory content, or misleading reviews. Only completed-job participants may review each other; guardians submit on behalf of managed 11–13 providers. The operator may hide inappropriate reviews, review reports, and suspend accounts.
Before public launch
The site operator must finalize its legal business details, service terms, privacy practices, youth participation requirements, and insurance arrangements for the locations it serves. The software does not provide a compliance or insurance determination.
